That would be me, but in the future please refrain from confusing the original Geeks on Call with the imposter "Geeksquad" from Best Buy.

I am actually a franchisee in northern Virginia, where I own 2 franchises in the Leesburg / Ashburn area. *I was laid off from Cable & Wireless Inc. in 2001 where I worked as a LAN admin for many years before finding the newly started Geeks on Call that same year. *I gambled, bought in, and have loved it for 4 years now. *Ever since Best Buy used their muscle to copy the action and saturate the airwaves with GS ads, there has been a lot of confusion over the similarity in names and vehicles. *(We drive the PT, they drive a VW bug). *The confusion gets frustrating after I have worked so hard to build up my customer base and expectations of fast quality service, but we're still growing despite it. *GOC corporate now has 332 franchises in 24 states, so you may want to look into it in your neck of the woods.

But always room for more in the newer markets. Still worth checking out if it interests you. (There are 30+ franchises in the DC market)
