We see city peoples here getting ripped to shreds by raccoons from time to time. They look so cute and cuddly these idiots just HAVE to walk to up try to pet 'em. Trouble is, when they feel corned, they charge on ya. And they have REALLY sharp teeth and NASTY tempers as they feel occasion demands.

Of course, there're the city dogs who get torn up big time by raccoons and the occasional 'possum now and then. Wildlife wandering into the city can be a sad mix.

I had a chance to put a round into it one night, but it took off when it noticed its buddy was caught. I released both of them a few miles down the road.
