That's a new Michelin concept tire. As always Michelin is on the forefront of technology and to the best of my recollection (I'm too lazy to look the specifics up right now) they provide much better gas mileage (less rolling resistance) and better wear characteristics.

Is anyone familiar with Michelin's new PAX system tires that are OE on some of the new Honda Odyssey mininvans? Totally new concept....but going to piss off a lot of customers who are expecting tire services to be performed at "normal" tire shops.

The new PAX tires require the use of specialty equipment and it takes around 1 1/2 hours just to repair a flat (I'm the service manager at a retail Tire/Service center).
