what's with the "short" pages???

what's up with the short pages...20 posts or less and 20 topics to a page....I'm afraid some topics will get overlooked because it's not gonna take very much inactivity to get bumped to "page 2".......

with over 3000 posts you sure still surf alot. I was away from surfing here for about 5 months and still am almost the same as you.
