How would you like it if your employer wrote a check to to a vendor for $17,000, and their bank imput it as 517,000 (scanned the $ as a 5), and neither bank looked at the written out amount which by law is the one that trumps if there is a conflict? And you were the one that found it? :banghead:
 
Yikes! Seems like they might double check an amount like that.
 
That was my 'significant emotional event' for the day....
 
Funny how just about all banks have the rule that checks over the amount of 10K needs to have 2 people verify it.
Anyone get in trouble over that little error?

Right now, the only one with trouble is us; it's clearly someone else's error, but we are the ones out the $$ and STILL awaiting it's return....Did get the bank to give us a "provisional credit' for the money though until it comes back thru the FED.

I hope it all works out quick!!
An error finacial error like that could easily put a small buisness in trouble.
