Yes, impressive to the casual observer. The man is wearing the equivalent of a "Faraday Cage", which is actually a metal screen suit that goes completely around him. He's acting like the center conductor between the two Tesla Coils and playing with arcs between them. As long as he's completely covered by the metal screen suit, he's very safe.!!

Yep, you're right, they're a blast. I built one a long time ago myself and powered it with a neon sign
transformer. Worked great..!!
