Busas in Romania

I'm in Constanta Romania at the moment. Apparently some people out here have good taste in motorcycles as well... While Bucharest was full of GSXRs, seems the port town of Constanta likes something a little bigger... Here's a couple of the shots I took recently...

First riders I've seen here with gear on...

Cool pics . Look like Bulgaria just below you some . I was in Sophia the Capitol but never made it to the sea on other side . Yes Kento that's the black sea .
I'm curious why Draguta Floca is out is the sun ?
I didn't think Vampires could go out in the daytime :)

Appears that it's legal to 'filter' to the traffic signals there, too!

Smart people! :beerchug:

Thanks everyone! I've got plenty more to share then...

@ Kento - Not much surfing here...

@ Saiid - Draguta Floca says not to believe everything you read...

Bucharest has LOTS of parks. I've been fortunate enough to be close to a lot of them. Here's some shots from the parks...

Romania, for those of you who may not know, was a communist regime until 1989. During that period a lot of beautiful building were confiscated, demolished and replaced with "socialist apartment buildings." This included many homes and churches. Religion was not allowed whatsoever. A few of these sacred grounds managed to escape demolition...

This road used to be called The Victory of Socialism...

Romania's former Dictator Ceausescu built this enormous palace to live in. It is considered the largest administrative building in the world. It has 1,100 rooms, 2 underground parking garages and is 12 stories tall.

So get this, it's 86 meters tall and goes 92 meters under ground. It was meant to insure his survival from nuclear attack. Building it cost over 10 billion dollars,
and required demolishing much of Bucharest's historic district, including 19 Orthodox Christian churches, six Jewish synagogues, three Protestant churches (plus eight relocated churches), and 30,000 residences.

It's the one in the middle... Romania's Parliament now resides there... I went inside it last year... It's an unbelievably big building....

Did the two of you get your pants mixed up?

Being skinny and with fast metabolism all I ever think about when I travel an sightsee is where can I get a good piece of grilled meat :)
When I was in Sophia my friends kept trying to get us into a restaurant that was supposed to be the best there . For three days we tried to get in and finally when we did I ordered a steak 'grilled to your liking' is what menu said .
I could not even eat a bite it was so bad !
We need food pics and info . What are you eating there and have you been here yet
McDonald's Constanta - Delfinariu - Restaurante :)

That's funny... Sucks when they over-hype stuff...

As far as meals go, I'm vegetarian and we try to eat mostly low carb. And no fast food... lol... So basically I've been eating mostly eggs and salads...

I'll definitely try to take some pictures of some traditional food.

A common thing you will see people eating is called Mici. It's basically a sausage without the skin... Everyone seems to love them.

And everyone out her loves McDonald's. We went in one in Bucharest to use the bathroom and buy a water... It was nicer and bigger inside than any of the McDonald's in the States. Like a full on restaurant... I'll try to take pics of it when we get back to Bucharest.

Yes it's funny how Mickey D's overseas are always nicer than back home .
The ones in Cyprus have waitresses that come take your order and people look at you funny if you put your garbage on the tray and carry it to the can . The waitresses also get upset if you clean your own table . In Bulgaria the Mickey D's had two lines , one for those with American Dollars and other one for all else . I didn't realize that when I walked in but I must have stood out cuz the girl at the counter said to me 'you can come over here' 'you have dollars , yes?'
I said 'unh huh' . This line there was like three people in it where other one had over fifty .
