Barack Hussein Obama said:
During the president's town hall meeting in Nashua, New Hampshire, he discussed the need to curb spending during tough economic times. "When times are tough, you tighten your belts," the president said. "You don't go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don't blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you're trying to save for college." Source

No, the real irony was the State of the Union Speech the other night. Hipocrisy at it's finest...

I think the guy is way to inexperienced to be playing with the big guys. He has wandered so far off point, that it is conceivable that the Republicans may regain a senate majority.

Hillary could have done a better job.

+1000000! It was hard to stomach. :puke:
Ain't they all? He is not living up to what he said, that's for sure, but which of them does? And as far as Hillary doing better, I seriously doubt that she would have. We will see however. She will be the next Democratic president.

This is true! I'm so tired of these politicians telling us what we want to hear just to get elected, then BAM....special interest here we come, American people bye bye! It's so frustrating.

Agreed 100%. It makes me no difference which (left or right) special interest groups they bow down before, it's all sickening. I really hoped Obama would be better than others before him, not because of his race, but because of his upbringing. He needs to recall the days of his youth when his family was struggling to raise him and give him the opportunities he had to become the man he is today. There are millions of Americans dealing with the same struggle now, and it seems he has forgotten us....

Are you sure his childhood wasn't fabricated as well?

It wasn't fabricated any more than Bush's military service......:poke:
Wait, let me guess he is an Islamist plant, ordered to destroy this country from within right?

I'm just sayin... Nothing that he has promised has materialized. Taxes he says he wasn't going to raise are rising, when I see him speak, it reminds me of phone conversations Charlie Brown has....wah, wah wah wah, wah, wah. He appears to be nothing but a talking head.

Agreed. Like I said, they all are. Career politicians, no matter which side of the aisle they claim, could not care less about us. I had hoped he would be better. I was wrong evidently.....

I too have been dissappointed in President Obama. He has to stand up & distance himself from the weak in his own party.

We all argue left vs. right, while they (Senators & Reps) are laughing all the way to the bank & the freezers in their gargaes where they hide the real money. We fight amognst ourselves while we are ALL getting screwed.

But what else can you expect from a bunch of lawyers..........

Actually, i think they DO have a GOOD COPY of GWB's Military Service Jacket....:poke:

Change was promised and change is what we've gotten. We're one step closer to socialism. Quality health care for everyone is a great concept until you're taxed more to foot the bill. Distributing the wealth is also a great concept unless you're the guy/gal that's busted your hump to build up your wealth only to have the government strip it away to provide programs for the "needy".

Don't get me wrong, I believe strongly in volunteering in the community and providing for those who actually are unable to provide for themselves. But, it's those able bodies who suckeling on the government teat that ruin things for everyone. Contributing to the betterment of your community and mankind should not be compulsory, it's something that should be voluntary and come from the goodness of one's heart.

Truth is that we are all nothing more than sophisticated animals (some not so sophisticated :poke:), some having stonger survival instincts than others. Some don't think twice about stepping on someone or stealing from them, it's just a means of getting ahead (surviving). I think that without law and order we would destroy one another, leaving the strong (either phyisical or mental) to control the weak.

I'm rambling so :corner:

Although already posted this today in another thread...

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."*

We're just screwed :poke: All the hands out are voting, and they are now the majority. We can prolly feed all of them, but not the swelling govemnment ranks as well, and their buddies in banking...:banghead:

True that and I also don't understand why we are still hearing about AIG CEO's getting multi million dollar bonuses. Obama exclaims how disappointed he is about it but does nothing to stop it except increase our taxes.

Katie Couric is getting $17M yearly, why isn't Obama and Co. outraged about that?
