Default One of those times being "husky" helped!

So I picked up my Redline stands Monday, just haven't had the time to get around to playing with them. By the way, to Ian at Redline for helping me get a front and rear stand sent to Hawaii without costing anything crazy.

Anyways I digress! Put the rear stand on the bike while washing it, figure it'll make cleaning the rims a little easier. Just after drying it all off it starts raining so I rush to get everything under my carport. Take the bike down off the rear stand...push to the left...just keeps leaning and leaning! Grabbed onto the hump with all I was worth, bike was about 3 inches from being on the ground. Think I pulled about 20 muscles getting it back upright...forgot to put the darn kickstand back down so now I'm never going to put it up..EVER haha

So now, after whiping the doo-doo out of my pants and having a stong drink, I can type this! Morale of the story: Take your time and don't rush!

glad you saved it Similar problem for me except since mine is lowered I have to keep upright straight an wiggle the stand out from behind... it went to the other side without the kick stand an I had the stand in hand an in the way, so all I could do was toss the stand back an dive under the bike with my body Not a scratch on her but lets just say I was in pretty bad shape an leave it at that

Your lucky I'm skinny I would have to just throw myself under it and hope I take the damage instead of the bike.

Yep, when I get in a hurry while working on something, Things seem to not go right. If it'd been me, It would have hit the ground with me hangin on to it. I aint got enough lead in my azz to hold up a Busa. Good on you for saving it from scrapes and bruises.

Haha, it got a little hairy. It started going to the right so I pulled it to the left (kickstands got it right)...it took a second for me to realize I never put it back down

I didn't think I would catch it but I did..then after I caught it, I couldn't get any momentum to put it upright...struggled for a few seconds, wishing a neighbor would magically appear and help me out haha.

Yeah, I learned to leave the stand down after I dropped my MINT busa the first week I had it... I JUST picked it up from Pipefighter the week before, and he kept it looking good! Then I dropped it (albeit slowly) and slightly scratched the left fairing. Thankfully, it was on smooth concrete as I was trying to save it, so it had very light, almost un noticeable scratches, but I knew they were there...

Glad you saved it. I did the same thing with my +600lb Warrior 1700
and I threw my insane old azz under the bike to save it. and it worked:
just slightly bent the shifter and a couple of bruises and a red face.

That's good thinking: they've got more natural padding & lube.
