Default Need advice on a referance format

I am providing a written reference for someone who wants to join the Marines.

Anyone have a sample reference I can use to plagiarize?

Sent you a PM with the format that I have used for folks that I have worked with. Google is always a good source! For the military I have always used references to their loyalty, team spirit (esprit de corps) and patriotism. Gave a reference one time to DISCO officier and said the young man would rather kill communists than drink beer and watch football!

guess you cant just say "umm yep, he's a good'unn' you shud put him in the front of the line"

seriously though, not sure if you use the same format for a military reference as you would say corp america. I know there's some different protocals, formats, etc, perhaps there's a recruiter type around here that can send you a worthy example to use as an example, cuz we know you would never plagiarize (that would go against something they taught ya in the marines right )

I've written several successful ones. But they would not do you any good as each one is personalized to talk about the individual.

Look for specific opportunities to talk about character, physical fitness, stamina, attitude, honor and integrity, etc. How long and in what fashion you know this person and how you have evaluated them for military service. Start and end letter by saying you feel this person would make a good Marine. If you are a Marine or former Marine or any other service, make sure you say so, and if you had an opportunity while serving to be in a leadership position, say so/what.

Lastly, make sure you look for grammer/spelling errors - RUN SPELL CHECK - As the quality of the writing of your letter reflects upon the preson you are recommending.

Good luck!
