Is it water proof?

This is the new generation of Raptor's Dual Mode shift lights: improved design, able to be programmed up to 20K rpm. Easy to adjust, all controls built right into the light itself. No tach adapter needed, no additional box. This particular version also has an auxiliary output wire which triggers a ground at the shift point - typically wired right into an air shifter kill box to give you the ability to auto-shift.
This light allows the user to set a desired launch rpm, upper and lower launch limits and shift point setting. Stand alone operation! Although it can be used on almost any bike, or even on cars, on the Busa, this light mounts best right on the small triangular black dash panel under the windshield.
Example: you can program your launch at 4,000 rpm, +/-200 rpm and your shift point at 10,000 rpm. This would effectively create a launch "window" of 3800-4200 rpm. If the bike is not moving, the light enters into the launch mode automatically. If the rpm was under 3800 (as per this example) the LEDs are off. If the rpm goes above 4200 (again, as per this example), the LEDs would flash rapidly to let you know you are above your launch window. However, within the window (set by you) the LEDs remain on solidly. So all you have to do is bring up your rpm until the light is on solid. Once you are moving, the light goes into the shift mode automatically, where it will come on at 10,000 rpm in this example.
This light is available in four LED colors (red, yellow, green, blue), and these LEDs are bright and can be seen readily in direct sunlight. The LEDs are so bright, the light comes with two covers - one for nighttime, and one to block the light entirely. Easy install also: power, ground, tach, and speedo signal wire. Dimensions: 3 5/8" long, 3/4" diameter, very compact.

FB - these lights are NOT waterproof. When placed under the windshield on the triangular dash plate on the Busa, you can go through a driving rainstorm with no problem, that area does not get wet. On other bikes you would have to place the open slot (where the display is) in the down position to avoid getting water in there. It is difficult because of the display and adjustment buttons to actually make this light totally waterproof. Nonetheless, I can tell you that they work great and are smaller and less complicated to install then the majority of lights out there.![]()
Yea , Its hard to find anything thats water tight . I've been looking for a while . The reason I ask is because I live in Washington and here if you don't ride in the rain you don't ride !
