I just got a GoPro so now am entering the world of how to mount it. So I'm asking for pic's of your different mounts helmet's and bike.
Thanks

The suction cup actually works. I've never tethered mine but I have seen guys tie theirs off.

+1 on the suction cup. it did for me at the dragon. course i did have a back up lanyard for it too.. made me feel better. didnt budge though. have a sticky on the helmet works just fine too.

I dont have anything on my helmet, but I have used the suction cup, and I have used the stickies. They vibrate pretty good on the tail, but you can usually shim them enough to make them work. PLEASE make sure you let them set up overnight before you try to use one, they work but must be installed correctly.

I'm switching from the top of the helmet mount to the side. don't care for that top angle myself. now the suction cup is awesome! I've had it on the tail, side cowl, tank, and nose/shield. you can tether if you like but that bad boy sticks well in my opinion.:beerchug:
here is a quick clip from a nose mount>

For me,on the side of the helmet has worked best(no vibration and filming where you look rather than where the bike's pointed). Also, use the little rubber thingy(whatever the hell it's called:laugh:)and the skeleton back rather than the solid one, actually get much better sound quality.

Tim / Pashnit has come up with some very creative GoPro mounts.

Things got interesting when a buddy in Australia who's into RC stuff built us the GoPro Gimble.

In this photo, there are 7 different RAM balls just on the left side of the bike to attach to.

Brains of the gimble work off GPS satellites to keep camera level in turns

As for mounting, triangulation works best for strength & distance away from bike
