The blood mountain/suches ride is a great ride. It is about 3 hours from where I live here in GA and is a blast when I can get up that way!!!

Also, don't rule out Wayah Rd just on the outside of 129 heading toward Franklin. It has a beautiful view, can't really ride it fast with the possibility of gravel in some spots. I'll be hitting that up probably friday evening before my night ride on the dragon if anyone wants to go

Absolutely, there are many great roads to ride in the area:beerchug:

Some people refer to Wayah road as Thunder Road.

Thanks Ray!

Maybe I can get to do some of these this year, although with Dan trailing behind me in his Harley I HIGHLY doubt we will be able to keep up with you:laugh:

Maybe just the 2 of us will get lost on one of these so he can take it easy:laugh:

Thanks Ray for posting the map links!
My fav has always been the foothills parkway run. nice loop

Oh and there is some great Ice cream in Cherrokee!

The blood mountain ride last year was awesome. I wouldn't mind doing it again this year.

That's awesome Don!! Doc and I have been mapping out some routes that we have gotten word about from his SuMo (Super Motard) board...

We're gonna try and hit the Devils Triangle... Probably on the R6 and the 400SM... depending on Darrell's degree of Azz pain by then.

Great Routes! I've got some of them already plugged into my Zumo, but I think I can even download the rest directly into it...outstanding!

Hey, Can't you save these to a gpx file? I can't find that option...?

Actually found answer to my own question. Google maps doesn' have .gpx option...but I found a cool workaround:

http://www.elsewhere.org/journal/gmaptogpx/

It overlays onto Google Maps, extracts the route data, and gives you a way to convert to .gpx. I followed the instructions, and the route loaded into my Garmin Mapsource no problem! VERY COOL!

That was a fun day, but I'd love to try it this time without the rain and wet roads
