My first ride across America was on an aged '82 Suzuki GS850. These brought back some nostalgia. The simplicity of those days. No internet, GPS, just a road atlas of North America & a full tank of gas. Wandering.

Last time Mt Lassen had a full-blown eruption was 1915. ;)

2 yrs ago when I photographed this, it was just a wimpy boiling mud pot. Now it was full blown boiling bubbling pool of sulfuric goo.

Unfortunately, with so much snow, road to the 8000 ft summit was closed. :(
