We had an amazing turnout despite pouring down rain..
I wasnt going to go.. I was pacing around my apartment and then I thought.. "The people who this is FOR in the first place, DIED. I think its worth getting wet to honor them."
After I realized that I am able to ride and have a family who loves me and am alive.. I felt much better about having to get wet. It was a joy actually. We were treated with respect and even though there werent many sportbikes, everyone was courteous and very very grateful we were there.
During our ride, I have never felt so choked up in my life... Thousands of people lined the streets waving flags in pouring rain.. ALL OVER.. to celebrate us doing what we do for the victims...
To see that.. to feel proud...that we were doing something unifying and good... just amazing.
So glad I bought this bike.. here are a couple pics from the start of the ride.
