Noise in Front forks

I notice a new noise when I push on the front end with the brakes on, kinda a scraping spring noise with a grinding senstaion. Seems to be both legs even! Is this a indication of a problem ? I may have hit a big pothole here , in the delta and damaged the bike. I have 800 miles on a new 2000 Blue and silver that I am in love with...

FYI The noise is gone now, went away after riding for awhile... I think it was just a matter of fact since I was setting the Spring rate and compression settings that day. No Problem with the front end.
