Here's an interesting tid-bit.

Pazzo is coming out with a Carbon-Fiber lever. Pure carbon fiber, none of that faux painted on stuff. The prototypes are already done and at the distributor, but they are hoping to have these things ready for purchase in December sometime.

Interesting. Have to keep everyone posted on that. Very cool.

What I've been told thus far is $240. Normal Levers are $180 (Note Pazzo has MAP pricing, so same price no matter where you get them).

Levers on the busa are super-easy to install, Remove the bolt, and gently slide out the lever.

Just buy the levers! You will not be disappointed. I love em. The feel great and look outstanding on my bike. I recieved mine in about 5 days and if you can brush your teeth you can install them and it takes about the same amount of time. Thanks again Tim

Be nice if I could score some pics of the new Carbon Fiber Levers. The fella I was chatting with was holding the prototype in his hand, so might have to hit somebody up for some pre-release pics.

Btw, I asked about this. I think what I send out is about 50/50 short/long, but overall the ratio is actually 80% shorts & 20% longs for the US.

B- I get buried in messages sometimes. I've got pm's on 4 sites, swim in email each day and the phone ringing. Even the BRAVO TV network called today (no kidding). Another guy called today and wanted to buy the Pashnit.com site (no kidding). My cell is listed everywhere so just call me 9-4 pst 530-391-1356.

Gang, today is the last day of a Promo I've put on for Pazzo Levers for December. Pazzo does not allow group buys, however, I was able to secure some free engraving for December. I know it's not much, buy hey, it's a tank of gas to enjoy your new levers.

Decemeber 31, 2008 is the LAST day I'm allowed to offer this. Engraving is just another fun way to personalize that bike and make it truly yours.

Any last minute orders, go here: BUY NOW PAZZO LEVERS

I really like the silver shorties but would want to spray them with DupliColor Metalcast RED like i've done to my stockies. Would disassembling them definitely void the warranty?

Jason - I think that's a don't-ask-don't-tell question. The text-book answer is presumably, yes. However, once you have the part in your hand, it's yours to do whatever you wish with. From a real-world-application, I've never actually had a warranty issue with a single set of Pazzo Levers that I've sold through the years.

Anytime I've had anything odd happen, swapping colors, swappings longs for shorts, or some type of customer request, it was just doing whatever was best to get the job done. So in that regard, will take care of ya whatever ya need.

Tim
I love the short lever look, but does this require more pull on the clutch with your hands since you have less leverage than the longer version?

Doc, not a problem, if the perch (the black part) is undamaged, I can get just the lever portion swapped out for you. You'd still need to purchase the lever, but it'll save you some bucks having to replace the entire lever if we can re-use the existing perch. Going to pm you some instructions on what to do next if you'd like to get rolling on that. I will do that at cost if you want to get them fixed.

Ken, from a perspective of simple physics, yes. However, the majority of riders will never notice it. Occasionally, riders are concerned about the amount of force required to activate the clutch if they move to a shorty lever.

You get used to using two fingers with the shorts. On the brake side, once you go to Braided Brake lines, the difference is so dramatic (at least on mine it was) it's easy to ride hard with just 1 or 2 fingers covering the brake and the shorts are great for that.

And yes, they look freakin' cool. Someone actually asked one time- the ratio of overall sales is about 80% shorts / 20% longs.

You can mix and match on long-short combos, but that's not as common with Busa owners.

(I got no new news on the Carbon Fiber Levers (someone asked) - still in prototype testing was last word)
