Default Question b/f Hot Bodies Undertail order- Lowered Ride Height?

I want to get the undertail for my busa, but I sit pretty damn low. How close is the undertail to the tire well after mounted? I want to get it but dont want to wear a hole in it in a week or 2.

EDIT' I have a 3 inch stretch as well.

thanks
J

What year bike and what undertail. I'll step out on a limb here and say there is no difference in the clearance or there's slightly better clearance because the fender has been eliminated. The manufacturer would also shed some light on this matter.

Not sure if I would have an answer one this since you've taken the stock bike and modified it- which means each bike could be different.

If you take the stock numbers and work off of those, normally, there's about 4 inches of clearance between the top of the tire and the surface of the undertail. This is plenty for the stock configuration.

How much have you lowered your bike, and what is the travel of your rear suspension, have you altered how the rear suspension travel with dog bones (lowering links)?

I didn't do the lowering, but they did it with dogbones.

On a stock bike then do you know how far the undertail is from the fender well?

I don't, stock for mine predates my ownership of this busa. As previously mentioned, with the undertail on mine, it's 4 in.

Possibly someone else that still has the Gen-I stock configuration can answer that one.
