They actually make a cool set up that basically makes the bike an automatic after you drop the clutch on the line. Experts will chime in soon I'm sure.

I think it is hard to use shifter and reasonable price in the same sentence.

Alot use Pingel and or make up kits with different parts.

I have a friend with a Muzzy (priced right), but have not used it on the track yet. We just got it set up with a Auto shift from SmithaBusa and the weather turned bad/wet here. Prolly try to get it out and see how well it works when he gets a chance.

SmithaBusa can hook you up with the electronics to make whatever you choose work well.....launch/shift/autoshift. He might have some kit to help with your nitrous as well.

I use a Boost by Smith shift light with autoshift output with a cycle-tek airshifter. Outstanding quality and the price is as good as it gets.

I use mostly MPS Stuff with a mix of my own.Price solely depends on how easy you want install to be..2-300 shifts with co2 and less with regular air,but you can do onboard compressor also..you can shift without letting off nitrous or put window switch inline that kills nos before a set rpm..you can also use a regulator to bring nos bottle psi down to run shifter off same bottle...

I'm using the Muzzy setup on my bike. It kills the fuel for a few mili seconds instead of the coil spark, so you won't get the popping and backfire you get from other air shifters. Schnitz and MPS both sell the kit. Pingels electric shifter does both up and down shift as apposed to just up shift like an air shifter...but has a big clunky lookin shifter solenoid and ugly bracketry

I wouldn't want to kill fuel without killing spark on a nitrous application. But, that's just me.

Thats what your fuel pressure switch is for. The other way you have a cylinder filled with raw fuel and nitrous...then when you get the spark back from the coil you get a bis KABOOM...depends I guess on how much nitrous you,re spraying too. I've been on that 180mph fireball. Its a real crappy decision to make weather to stay on and burn or bail off and get fuznucked up!

I use the MPS kill box with a Bimba air cylinder and a paint ball air tank. It costs me $2.49 to refill the tank and seems to last forever.

I'd kill the fuel, just not without killing the spark. I've also had fireballs. Just sucks to get a monster detonation when it goes super lean and then you have pieces of engine block, sleeve, and piston taking the leathers and boots right off your lower leg.

Not argueing your use. We all have a preference. Thats just mine.

You guys should invest in window switches...cut nitrous off before shift and bring back on after shift..

Man...never thought of that before...nice idea - and cheap too i'd imagine.

Sorry for the silly question Bowwow, but where do you get the tank refilled? How much $ and how much aggravation setting up for the MPS kill box?

Man...sorry guys - I broke my own rule...jumping into a thread without reading ALL the freakin' posts. Ignore my MPS question...i'll do my homework!

Still curious about where you're getting the tank refilled though

+1 on that Dragracer - I like the up/down action but I gotta say I'm not a huge fan of the asthetic quality of the Pingle setup.

depends on what kind of arm that you have, every one around here uses arms with air fittings and a onboard compressor. mps is the best bang for the buck, if you got head work done you got to kill the nitrous and fuel with the engine kill. shooting under 15 per cyclinder on a stock engine youll get a crisp pop when you shift but let a rip

I have the Cycle-Tek setup with a 16oz. bottle(co2),has worked flawlessly for over a year and probably get 300 shifts per bottle(fill at local paintball store for $2.00).

I bought the tank at Wal-Mart, but they don't fill them. I took it to a sporting goods store. I live by a ****'s Sporting Goods. The MPS box was straight foward wiring. I have mine set up through the horn button. I also got a MPS Switch Swapper. I can toggle back and forth from my horn and the air shift.

Hey Nitrous Inj, thanks for the info but I was curious what you meant by "shooting under 15"? Sorry man but I don't follow?
