New Owner, New to Forum Hello to all.
Going to pick up my new (to me) 09 Hayabusa this afternoon. I have been shopping around for a GenII for about a year, but I couldn't find a deal that really caught my eye. Long story short, I was in Long Island on vacation last week when I got a surprise call from a friend of mine who I hadn't heard from in almost a year. He asked if I wanted to buy his bike. Last thing I know he was riding was 1500 Shadow, and I wasn't interested. Turns out, he bought this 09 Hayabusa last Monday from an older retired gentlemen. Got the bike home, rode it to work on Tuesday, scared the crap out of himself and put it up for sale on Wednesday. Apparently, cracking the trottle on the 09 Busa has a slightly different effect than cracking the throttle on the 02 Shadow 1500. I put about 150 miles on it for him last Sunday, then offered him the $9K he paid for it. He gladly accepted.
Well, got to go get my new bike.

Sounds like your mate (...like so many others in the past) didn't realise the power of the busa....maybe you should have thrown him an extra fiver to cover the cost of the stain removal in his undies?!?
But his loss is your gain, so just use it wisely and enjoy all the fun that comes with it!!
