    Fouled Plugs & rich running

I've checked everything but the injectors & valves. The clearances are on my list for next week when I have some time off work. As for the injectors, maybe it's time to pull them and have them pro cleaned & flow matched...

    Fouled Plugs & rich running

Doh!...I should learn to make myself clearer.....the TRE bodge and ebay fuel chip were the first things I ripped out, saw no reason for them to be there so out they came. TBH this bike is plenty fast enough for without mods so I'm in the process of putting everything back to stock. The rich...

    Fouled Plugs & rich running

I agree, thats exactly what I've done...the bike has a PCII so I loaded the zero map then the stock map just to be sure. I rode into work this morning, I still think it's runing rich as fuel econ has not changed it still runs around 8 litres per mile when it should be closer to 10.....time...

    Fouled Plugs & rich running

I've only had the bike for few a months, before that it belonged to my Brother who is not the most technically minded, so the maintenance done by myself is possibly long overdue... The bike is completey stock at the moment, it did have Viper cans, PCII with an unknown map, bodged TRE & some...

    Fouled Plugs & rich running

Firstly, apologies for the crappy picture, it's from my phone.... Having done a little maintenance in the last few weeks, on my stock Gen 1. I've cleaned my fuel pump, screens, air filter, new IAP sensor (correct part no.), throttle body balance & fresh fuel...the bike just wasnt running...

    Gen 1 fuel pump

On the right pic, to the right side, there is a plastic cage inside the pump body, spray so WD40 in there then pull this out, it can be a bit sticky but persevere, it will come out, the o-ring seal can be quite tight, on the end is the inlet screen which is the coarse filter. I used my spring...

    Power restrictor???

I run mine through the winter as I commute, a full power Busa is entertaining to the max in such slippy conditions, so I could see this being useful, I'd love to see a switchable map function or winter map for my PCII.

    Gen 1 fuel pump

Yeah, I though I'd forgotten a vacuum hose at first so tore it all down again, that's when I found the errant o-ring. I've now replaced all of the vac tubing with new silicone piping while I had the chance. I did but a replacement sensor but it was the wrong fitting so it needs to be...

    Gen 1 fuel pump

I stripped the pump out again this afternoon...I found the problem with low fuel pressure... The 10mm OD stub from the pressure side of the pump has a sleeve, this is sealed inside the filter housing inlet with an O ring, this had moved and was blocking the fuel delivery tube. Made no...
