    Erratic AFR

I have a gen 1 busa with a water meth injection system running 17 psi boost. I was riding in boost and afr gauge started flashing and then afr started bouncing all over the place and bike started running really erratic. When I parked bike I noticed that I had some oil coming out the air filter...

broken piston oil ring in oil pan

I have a 05 extended busa with air ride and bottomed out riding one night. After a few hundred yards I realized that my oil pan was cracked when oil light came on. Naturally the engine started rapping a little when oil got low and I shut off right away to prevent any further damage. When I took...

    Powerhouse motorcycles worth the trip

I know there are always people on the fourm looking for recommendations on shops to go to or what advice is good or bad. From my recent trip to Powerhouse, I can say Frank knows his turbos and Busa's inside and out. You can tell his level of experience is second to none. Besides at being awsome...

    After turbo build staring/cranking issues

Yeah, besides my cams being out of degree, I also didn't have one of the cam bearings lined up on clip right and cracked bearing. Thanks for checking up

    After turbo build staring/cranking issues

I checked all items minus the compression issue. I never though to check that when I degreed them, stupid. I just set it to TDC then degreed, never check which stroke it was on. They could very well be correct just on the wrong stroke, that would def cause my issue, correct

    After turbo build staring/cranking issues

I tried replacing battery and also tried starter without being on other gears. Starter worked fine before teardown. I am pretty sure that I have my cams degreed incorrectly which is causing this issue. It is tougher than should be to hand turn

    Spacer plate and timing chain

I started with tdc with a stop tool and confirmed the line on the starter clutch pulley lined up with the factory mark on the case. I then installed the lines on the end of the cams as shown in the service manual, like you mentioned, and then degreed from there.

    Spacer plate and timing chain

I completely agree with you. I do have a degree wheel and indicator which is what I set it with but apparently I did not do it correctly if it will not start. The pic was just to see if I was infact off and that was my issue but I don't see anything other it could be. Unfortunetly I could not...

    Spacer plate and timing chain

I have never heard of anyone having to change the chain due to adding the plate so I figured it would be fine. I am pretty positive that my starting problems that I am having is that my cam are degreed incorrectly. Does anyone have a photo of their cams with APE adjustable sprockets degreed...

    After turbo build staring/cranking issues

I have a gen 1 motor, I installed a spacer plate and APE adjustable cam sprockets, only thing different internal from OEM. When degreeing the cams I set to TDC, and set the end marks on the cams to OEM position, then adjusted from there. I am at 105 intake / 106 exhaust. I checked everything 4...
