That's pretty good for your first time out. I took several outings to run a 10.8. Are you shifting with the clutch? The big tire will slow you down a bit, but you can't be too long.
It was great putting faces to names last night. The food was good, but we forgot to get a cake for Frisbee's b-day.
We should be able to meet for the Oyster Run. We are staying on Whidbey Island that weekend celebrating my mom's 70th b-day. We will just trailer the two bikes up there and meet...
I wouldn't be Issy_Busa if I didn't correct your spelling. It's Issaquah. Maybe Rich will want to ride down to Tacoma with me. What's his handle on the board? Call me if want to meet here. 206-612-8078
Sounds like fun. I don't think I have plans on Thursday. I'll have to come on the backup bike. The low beam went out on the busa. I think I did a few too many wheelies at the track.
My bulb has failed. Before I pull it apart, can anybody tell me where I can get another one? Does anybody know what the part number is? Thanks in advance.
Just stretching the bike will get you in nines. All the mods will help you go faster from there. You should aslo consider the Brock clutch mod. Mine is setup similar to what you propose and I've run 9.74 on motor and 9.61 with a 40 shot. I weigh about 210.
You're thinking of the ZX-13.5. It has two sets of flys. You would still be better off getting a TRE for that bike. It will open the secondaries at 3K, so it would still work ok on the street.
Hey Tervlover I've got riser bars on my 03 and they seem to help quite a bit. The came with the bike, so I can't compare to riding without them.
I also own a '98 Blackbird. It's quite a nice bike as well. I've got a Corbin seat and Heli bars on it. I'd say it's a bit more comfy than the Busa...
I got a buddy at the track that put his deposit down for one already. He was told it would stay a 1300 and they would get 30 poines with cams and head work.
