From everything I've heard, the stock filter is about the best. I've heard enough people say it that I've not bothered trying other ones.

I was going to go from the stock 17/40 the the 16/42 that many here run. i'm also a believer in changing 1 thing at a time to see how i like it. i changed the rear to 42 first, and never bothered changing the front to 16. Going up 2 in the back was enough for me, gave the bike a little more pep...

I'm in Florida, and The Muzzy moves a lot of air. i'd say unless your running a big bore, or have massive heat issues I'd say Muzzy should be fine. it is for me, and i ride pretty hard... even if suck in traffic in the dead of summer with the muzzy fan i've never had issues with the bike running...

I good friend of mine that i ride with a lot has them, he's been happy with them. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

I have the high, 2 up is no issue. I have the CF can's and can put my hands on the cans after riding hard. heat is a null issue. plus look, sound and power are all great... Pic is old, but have rearsets and some other stuff now. but same look for the most part.

+1 I've hear the same about the big bird for the most part...

I didn't measure them before i installed mine, and a little off topic, but if you like twisties and own a busa it's a great mod for the money.....

Funny Story, I have HMF high Mounts, 1 Of my best friends bought the Muzzy System after riding with me for a while because "He Like the people in his street" He said the only reason he bought an aftermarket system at all because he got sick on not being able to hear his bike at all over mine...

The short answer is yes... Search for Small air box mod. and alot say stock filter is OK, But BMC Race will improve Air flow.

I as well as many other use BMC Race filter. I know GPW has 1 he's selling (don't remeber name) but i've heard good tings about them also. some after market filters (K&N comes to mind) i've heard actually have less air flow than stock filter.

lol Expect about 50 different answers. honestly it takes about 5 minutes to remove, drive it both ways and see what you like. My bike seems to run a little better with it than without it. that's just the feel i have on it, you'll get just as many that say it's in my head and it really runs...

Mine isn't lowered, but went and looked at it, i can't see any reason why it wouldn't work. lots of room.
