    Dyno'd the stage 1 turbo

If using a full exhaust rather than dump pipes really does knock off around 20hp, then I guess in terms of hp I'm not that far off? 224 is pretty close to 228 (from jdsbusa's 248 w/dumps). If so, then I guess that's the price I pay for a stealthier look. I'm not totally against dump pipes as...

    Dyno'd the stage 1 turbo

Thanks JohnnyCheese and others for the feedback. It's apparent that I have an underwhelming tune given the setup. I've tried two tuners in Florida already and am in the process of shipping the bike to a third and hopefully the last. The first tuner left the bike with a mild choppy/surging...

    Dyno'd the stage 1 turbo

Totally stock so far, but you will fix that for me very soon! So thanks in advance for the smiles

    Dyno'd the stage 1 turbo

7lbs i believe, at least that is what the gauge max's at when i ride it. Filter under fairing, full pipe. I have faith that you will be able to make my bike wow me after you get it next week hehe.

 nice read, thanks for the link.

    Dyno'd the stage 1 turbo

The side pic is a 'before' pic hehe. The kit came with a single pipe/can for the right side and there's no pipe on the left side anymore. But yeah, that's what i wanted...to keep it sort of stock looking with the air filter kept under the plastic and no dump pipe.

    Dyno'd the stage 1 turbo

This is a 2005 busa with RCC stage 1 kit. I opted for the full exhaust rather than dump pipes which I've been told drops the output by 20hp or so. Below are the results from the last tuner a few weeks ago... I didn't start to take pics of the bike until after i'd already begun the...

    Fuel Pressure Fluctuations

I just wanted to add a follow up for my gauge problem. After some searches here and on sh.org I found two other posters with the same problem (ie: fluctuating pressure readings using a digital gauge). One of them mentioned that a smoothing capacitor was needed to fix the problem. In my case...

    Fuel Pressure Fluctuations

As recommended by someone else here (can't recall who) I'm using this gauge: square fuel pressure Gauge, velcro anywhere, size of a keychain remote. Digital fuel pressure gauges in a square package will read fuel pressure in PSI. - square fuel pressure Gauge, velcro anywhere, size of a keychain...

    Fuel Pressure Fluctuations

I connected the gauge power/ground directly to the battery and now the pressure is steady. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I guess I have a wiring problem.

    Fuel Pressure Fluctuations

Raised the tank, visually checked fuel lines and there were no problems that I could see. Started the bike, same problem. Disconnected the electronic gauge sending unit and connected a mechanical gauge, and the needle barely fluctuates. The needle looks like it's vibrating even if I hold the...

    Fuel Pressure Fluctuations

Last I checked all lines were unkinked, no sharp bends even with the tank down. I'll double check though, the tank has been up and down several times during various tinker sessions.

    Fuel Pressure Fluctuations

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that. I just wanted to make sure this was really a problem before I took off the fairings again.

    Fuel Pressure Fluctuations

Thanks Busataz, I guess that answers the question of whether this is normal  For power, I wired the gauge to that accessory light plug on the right side under the front cowl. Both power and ground, if that matters.

    Fuel Pressure Fluctuations

It's a brand new kit. The kit came with a mechanical boost gauge and for awhile I had an AutoMeter mechanical fuel guage connected up. I used the mechanical gauge to set the initial pressure to 43. After reading here about needle fluctuations and short lifespan for mechanicals, I decided to...
