Hi, have had the same issue with my 2000 busa. Have replaced the entire fuel pump assembly (fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator included), though the problem has reduced considerably but still does the same every now and then (especially if i have a long run in traffic or extreme hard riding)...

So running the bike with the vaccum line removed from the FPR, would be like running the bike at max fuel pressure at idle... correct??

update - couldnt manage to fit any other FPR on the bike. Tryed clearing the FPR with compressed air / WD40, worked fine for 20-30 miles but again started acting up. Now my question is what will happen if i keep the vaccum line from the fpr removed all the time?
