I had a slight issue where my hayabusa would overheat while sitting in traffic! I tried to keep it from getting too hot and if I couldn't hit a road and get up to speed, id shut it down.
I tracked the problem down to an air bubble in the system and apparently not enouh coolant in the system...
Thanks for all the input guys... Thinking leather jacket soon with polypro's under. Heated gloves for $180+ are kind of out of the question unless I can score some lightly used off craigslist/ebay (are the battery ones on ebay any good?)
I am on a strict budget, part of reason I got the...
Obama didn't do squat... See how the Seals are blowing crap about him taking credit for such a tough decision? Here we are shooting missles into Pakistan on a daily basis, but this one call (with no body/evidence) and he's famous for it? LOL
The title states very large "SALVAGE VEHICLE TITLE" in Indiana... Not sure how someone could miss it if it's that way in other states too! Of course, he probably has half that in the bike and trying to make some serious dough!
As was said above, if you buy a salvage bike "not fixed" and...
Have a few questions -
I've never had a bike I had to ride as far as I do now (83 miles each way to/from work) and live in Indiana... I just bought the Busa as mileage is over double what my car gets so it basically pays for itself
Anyway... Here is my current gear
HJC...
I'd just hold off for a better deal... I just picked up a 2006 with 3k miles for $6200 that was so clean you could have eaten off it... I'd be worried myself about a salvage title - on if it was fixed right and safe, to resale value later!
About 15 years ago got the scare of my life but not pulled over... I was doing around 160 on interstate 65 after just coming out of a pack of cars. As one of the cars behind me started flashing their headlights and I thought one of my buddies dumped or something... After watching in my...
I believe if it were jumping timing, it wouldn't be jumping back, unless you're talking about the ignition timing maps... Not sure about the bikes, but I've had cars running too lean or fuel not coming on soon enough and causing backfiring. Could the popping at idle be due to wastegate...
I just picked up an 06 recently and spending half as much on gas as I did driving my mustang to work/home (160 mile round trip). When I filled up last night I had used 3.09 gallons for 159.7 miles... ~just over 53mpg
Some Saudi Prince is probably going to have his lambourghini repossessed...
Hmmm.. maybe in northern indiana, but I drive back/forth between Lafayette and indy and they nail people consistently doing 10+ over! Of course I bought the Busa to save on fuel as it does better than my mustang! No way would I drive a scooter on the interstate though
