Default Buell Peg Mod for 99-present Busa owners

When you're out riding for a while on your Busa,.....do you ever?

    (1) stand up and stretch your legs while going down the road at speed?
    (2) find yourself kicking your leg out to relieve a little knee ache?
    (3) have to stop and walk around to get the blood flowing again in your legs?

IF you answered YES to any (or all) of these questions,........you could benefit from the Buell Peg Mod. I am NOT the originator of this mod. I cannot take credit for this. I simply offer a complete, ready to bolt-on, no hassle package for individuals who do not have resources or patience to do machining work.

EVERY package includes a new set of Buell pegs that have been machined and polished on the machined areas.
EVERY package includes 2 E-clips in case the original clips get damaged or lost.
EVERY package includes 2 polished aluminum sleeves which have been machined from 6061 grade aluminum rod. These compliment the polishing on the pegs and insure good fitment of the stock peg pin.
EVERY package includes an 8 page illustrated manual which shows how to install the pegs and make necessary adjustments to the rear brake lever, rear brake switch, and shifter lever.

The package for the 2008-present (Gen2) Busa has an additional page of instruction for the rear brake switch adjustment and 2 peg springs from the 99-07 Busa. The Gen 2 peg springs are too small in diameter to use with the sleeves in this package.

Domestic price includes USPS shipping and Signature Confirmation are as follows:

    Gen 1 (99-07) $90
    Gen 2 (08-present) $96

Canandian price includes USPS shipping and Registered Mail are as follows:

    Gen 1 (99-07) $98
    Gen 2 (08-present) $104

International price includes USPS shipping and Registered Mail are as follows:

    Gen 1 (99-07) $108
    Gen 2 (08-present) $114

I accept Paypal and money orders. (International orders must pay with Paypal)

Joe is a standup guy with a great product. I was very pleased with his version of the buell peg mod, it feels very comfortable and I would recommend it to everyone!

Awesome, while I have Rizoma rearsets this is a great product/mod you are offering. Good to see some more members stepping up to the plate in this forum!

After the Cycle-Tek Air shifter group buy, and Scorpio Alarm Gr. buy, I'm kinda tapped. Soon as I build my diposable income back up, I'll purchase a set.

I got my pegs delivered as promised and installed with no drama on my 08. The pegs look nice and are comfortable. This is a nice alternative to new rear sets and easily reversible. I can feel what the bike is doing better through my boots than before with the thick rubber stock pegs. There is some vibration that is felt since this peg is metal but the feel and lower position make up for that IMO.

Cool...not to bust your sale, just looking out for the uninformed buyers, but you can get GP or ProTek pegs for $50-60 as well. Not quite as low as the Buell mod but lower than stock and more clearance for the twisty folks.

    Question:

I know these lower the effective foot position by nearly 2". How much lower is the bottom of the peg? My stock pegs are nearly touching my exhaust pipes, so I am not sure I can do this without having an interference.

Can you take a pic of a stock peg and then the same pic with the Buell peg for reference?

    Thanks!

So, I just got back yesterday from riding down to Daytona for Bike Week. It is a bit over 600 miles each way for me. The Buell pegs were awesome! My legs did not bother me at all down or back. I really thought they would after a bit, but no problem. I wish I could say the same for my butt. New seat definately on the wishlist now. This mod has got to be one of the best & easiest for comfort. 1200+ miles over a weekend & no leg pain. Thaks again Joe!

I've used those and they're great. I ended up going with Gilles rearsets because my feet were too low and, I was wearing out toe sliders quickly. Three sets in one trackday. For most people, this Buell peg mod should be awesome. If you start using your Busa as a trackday bike and have big feet like me, you'll need to get your feet higher up for more cornering clearance.

I'm also glad to see entrepreneurial members doing things like this. Good job!

I am 6'5" with 38" inseam. I get cramps bad after 1/2 - 1 hour. If the Buell kit is not enough, can you machine a set that can give more stretch?
