Charles, you say you have gotten your tickets for the race next year. Have you made a reservation for a place to stay? According to travelaxe most of the rooms around Monterey are filled up or going fast. The only one's left are the $200.00+ a night rooms. It really steams me when the owners of a small or large for that matter motel raise the normal rates 400 to 500% for race weekend. But they all sell out so I guess the supply and demand theory works well there.

I stay about 30 minutes away in Salinas for the El Cheapo rooms. I save a lot of money for just a quick 30 minute ride. But I'm money tight, for those of you who can afford Monterey rooms, go for it.

I checked expedia.com and the Good Nite Inn is sold out. A lot of the hotels are either full or too pricey for me.

Charles, Karen has reservations at another hotel close to the Good Nite Inn, I'm going to have to see about other arrangements for the beginning of the week.

Jetset, bring the 'Busa, you'll be glad you did!

Call Goodnite Inn, (831) 757-9667 Goodnite Inn Salinas, CA. *You won't find rooms available on the internet! 1 bed $46.95 *2 bed $54.95 * Even on Friday and Saturday nights!!!! * But the rate goes up as their occupancy goes up. *And I don't know how long they'll keep the rate this low, don't wait!!!

I made my reservation yesterday.

Man I'm driving ... I haven't planned the trip in detail yet as for as sopts along the way ... etc, but I have no problem with long distance drives. What about you? Do you want to convoy or do you want to ride with me? I'm rolling with a Envoy and a 2-bike enclosed Haulmark trailer.

I had planned on flying and renting a BMW in 03 we rented Goldwings this year we are renting BMW1200GS'S.I dont have the time to drive out and the cost to ship the bike is more than it is to rent one.I wanted to know your travel plans to see if you wanted to trail my BUSA out there with you.
