That's cool. I've seen 130's in the 1/4 mile... I'd bet 200 is mind blowing.... and if it is like mine, you have to hang on for dear life!

I don't know much about top end considering I am a quarter-miler myself...

How far do you get to go to get to top speed? How much shut down room do you have?

Congrats again!

Yup that's me! Â*

Jules our track is a standing mile. The speed traps are in the last
132 foot of that mile. We have about a .9 mile shut down with a
slight right turn at about .4 miles from the traps. (that's where I bit
it last year & broke my colarbone!) At 200mph you need very little
braking to stop by the end of the track (provided you make the corner! lol)

There's different length LSR tracks. The shortest is in TX with a one
mile run and a half mile shut down. Bonneville salt flats is one of
the longest and most recognized. I haven't been there yet but if I
remember correctly they have a 3 mile & 5 mile course with a few miles
each of possible shut down. More than is needed for the busa of course
but some of the really fast streamliners can need the nearly 10 mile
course!

Deb

Yup! Â* That's me & hubby (narider) in the green hat (the infamous 200mph club green hat) and of course Rockadaous in the last one on the left!
BTW, haven't seen you in a few rock!?! Y'all show up when I'm running "slow" and nobody's home when we run fast! Â*
Did you get tired of waiting for something to happen? Â*

Deb
