Rode one morning from my hotel in Lake George up to Lake Placid, great 200 mile round trip.....pictures don't do justice for the scenery

Nice pics, great scenery. What route did you take from Lake George to Lake Placid? This part of the country has some terrific scenery and riding destinations just too short of a riding season. I could not make it to Americade this year, too many chores at home piled up. Hoping to get to Laconia this weekend. Last year I made the trip a mini-iron butt trip riding to Laconia, staying for 4 hours then coming back on the same day, 600 mile trip.

Went up 9N north, on the west side of the lake. I did a mini-iron butt trip last year up to Mt Washington in one day, only 450 miles, but great scenery once again
 
Mt. Washington and the surrounding area is another excellent riding destination. In the winter i snowmobile from the Mt. Wahington area up to the Canadian border, when the winter cooperates with enough cold temps and snow.
