We'll be leaving here the evening of the 20th.

Where're all the bikes going to be parked?

Be good to ride with both of ya! *
You know it. *You both goin'? *Are you trailering or riding?

    --Wag--
    Just me, I'm trailering up.
    Nan sez yer a wuss.

How you gonna keep up draggin' that thing along? *Get on it and ride, brudda!

    --Wag--
    I hate riding freeways *

Call me a wuss, but I like the twisty back road stuff. *Freeways are just boring and bumpy *
You do make a valid point. *Maybe I need to rent a trailer!

    --Wag--
U-haul trailers are pretty cheap, but then again I'm not sure how much a proper bike trailer is to rent. Worth checking out though. You might be able to squeeze the gsxr and busa in the bed of a truck, they'll fit. The problem is finding good tie down points with 2 bikes in the bed.

Then there is that little thing about the stripper at the "Olympic Club" I used to date back in my hometown. Big fight, that one. But I've changed now, that was a long time ago. Baby PLEASE?!

    Let's clarify:

Riding TO Vegas isn't so bad.

    Riding FROM Vegas truly sucks.

Depends on the time of day - the desert gets beautiful after Barstow, and there's nothing like riding into that town on a motorcycle

You'd think! I just can't find a place to rent a trailer. Everyone keeps saying U-Haul but theirs is only a one bike trailer.

Still on the hunt for one.

They don't rent a flatbed trailer with a rampgate? Or is it too small? I used one to move from FL to Cali, it was just a flat bed with a rampgate on the back, not a motorcycle trailer per se. Had plenty of tie down points, just can't remember if it was big enough for 2 bikes, it should be.

Yup. Talked to the missus and she very adamantly said, "I want to take my bike!"

    Hmmmmm.

She made a valid point: If we get a trailer, we're likely to be stuck in traffic all the way home. With the bikes, we'll get home much faster. Bike or not, we'd much rather spend less time on the road.

    Wag -

Seriously.. I just went there last month

The traffic flow up and down the 15 was like 95mph

When I got back to work I told a few co-workers about my surprise about the traffic flow and they all agreed that is about average

If you are going to jump on the 15 freeway around Riverside / San Bernadino. Honestly.. I think that route up and back you are going to find pretty smooth and fast.

The only place I think you will find traffic is off the 15 (i.e. the 60 / 10 / 210 etc

On that note however.. I did go last month by myself on the Busa and it was a blast. I had a fricken awesome ride up there and back.. even though it was not twisities. it was not 55mph either soooooo anytime you can go fast on the Busa it is fun.

I think either way you can lose. just with a vehicle and trailer you can pack more clothes etc.

I have no idea what the weather is like so I am bringing differant riding gear. I have a leather jacket with back armor, and I am also bringing my mesh jacket with armor everywhere.

So I will have a choice of what to wear on the days of the ride.

Anyway.. that is my main reason for trailering with Rich. we are going to be there for like 4 days...

    +1

It's not so much the traffic but the lack of anticipation of heading home. That, and watching out for the tweakers once you hit the outer valleys.
