I've read that the durability of the Busa's paint is not the greatest and was wondering what other's experience has been. I'll be taking delivery of my 00 Busa when I return from Florida in March. I was thinking of having an extra clear coat put on it. Any thoughts?

I ride in mud and gravel and it cleans up great. No tank bra and where my knees go it's a little dull looking.

I put some clear tape which is the same type of material that the off road racers use to stick on their numbers, anyways I put it on the bottom body plastic near the front scoop to protect the lower fairing and the paint just peeled right off.The paint did not cure correctly to the primer paint.I did the same think on my 98TL-R and had no problems,so be careful on what you do,other than that the paint on the rest of the body is fine.

Honda replaced the entire fairing on my '97 blackbird because the paint chipped away. My busa does not have this problem. In fact I would say that the paint quality is excellent.
