Warchild and I met in Reno, as planned. It was amazing.

We met in the lobby of the Peppermill. Immediately proceeded to get a beer (see pic).

After checking into our rooms we met with the Sales Department Assistant (Kristin, see pic); who was VERY accommodating. We pinned down a few details with her before proceeding to our 3:00 meeting with her boss, who showed us around the facility (see more pix).

War's friend, Jan, met us at Biscotti's for dinner. She's amazing. What a doll.

We had a blast, got a lot accomplished, hoisted a couple of beers, and solidified a great number of Stampede details.

I also got to meet Raydog (Doyle) who stopped by the hotel on Friday afternoon just to shake hands and say 'howdy', and to pin down our breakfast Saturday details...

We had a blast! It was as epic as we imagined it would be...

This morning (Saturday), Raydog (Doyle) picked me up at the hotel at nearly 6am, where we went to Starbucks, shared some pix, had some coffee, and told 'busa tales 'til it was time for me to get to the airport... Thanks for the great start to my day, Doyle. It was great to get to meet you and spend some time talking about all the Stampede details. Your offers of assistance are awesome and will be of great value. :beerchug:

Please stand by for more information. In the interim, enjoy the pix.

Here are a couple pix of Standard Guest Rooms...

Remodeling abounds and the entire facility will be completely upgraded before we plan to be there next year...

I was absolutely fascinated at what a 'business' weddings seemed to be in Reno...

Fascinated, indeed. In fact, here's a pic of their office!!!

Crazy...

War is in front of the 'altar' wondering where the wedding party is...

Then I took my place awaiting a bride who never appeared. Life can be so unfair... guess I should have made an appointment in the 'office' before I went to the church...

So, I had an 8:45a flight this morning, and here's a pic of my last view from my first visit to Reno.

I'm still waiting to hear from War to make sure he made it back to SE Washington. It's a 700 mile ride and the weather was ominous at best.

 <--War...call me, bro...I'm eager to know you're safe.

:cheerleader:

Again, all...it was a fantastic trip. More on the details of the Stampede forthcoming...

You left out the part about being cute.

Adorable, friendly, helpful, down-to-earth,

Hot, hot, hot.

I told her that she looks like she 'just jumped off the cover of Elle magazine.'

(I'm in sales, too!)

Glad to hear you're back home and safe, Scar....great to meet you...Reno will be waiting for the "Invasion of the Busas"....it'll be so different from "Street Vibrations" that just ended, where everybody brings a Harly and parks it in front of a pub and stares at it.
Many beautiful and challenging mountain roads here in the Sierras await our exploration...and then there's the evenings! Talk 2U soon. Doyle

This is gonna be so cool i cant wait for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cheerleader:

oh and the roads:devil:

They're gonna love the general Busa owner...things like we wear "gear", and use "turn signals", and don't need to prove the capabilities of a Hayabusa in town.... :super:

Good work Bruddah !!! I'm waiting in the line right now....just tell me when to book...I'm waaaayyyy looking forward to the Northern ride from Vegas....screw that trailer crap, and my gal can fly.....goona be a shaweeet ride !!! :oldcool: Can't wait to break loose of Indian Springs and point it North on the 95...

Glad you enjoyed your stay here Scar! Man O live, can't believe how much fun it's going to be to meet fellow busa fanatics! And hehe..here I sit not even owning one yet! 09 on order though, hopefully by mid November!!
It'll be extra sweet for guys like Pacemaster and me, living just 30 miles south of Reno here in Carson City. You guys/gals are going to love the numerous mountain rides that will be beckoning you............

and exactly HOW accommodating she was....hehehe
I'll let Scar handle this question.....

Some of us actually ride to these things instead of whussing out and taking a plane, :poke: so I only got back late yesterday evening.... fortunately, only 200 miles of rain on the way home; the remaining 500 miles was not too bad. Colder that hell, though.... I admit I was glad to be on the FJR instead of the K8 for this run: it was 38-degrees F when I departed Reno yesterday at 5AM. :banghead:

Busa Stampede is just going to be entirely outrageous! We are still negotiating with our Sales rep for a killer group room rate, and we are also discussing banquet fees, etc. I believe we will reach an accord soon.

Standby, peeps.... Busa Stampede is going to be an event you do NOT want to miss! :beerchug:

WHAT???I have heard of no such stampede? Give the detials gents! Whats this????:poke:

Man you would think all this talk would include a date. Or did I miss it? If so foregive me for being smug. LOL

Hey, thought-master...many, many considerations are being taken before figuring out the date. Once the date is announced, THAT'S THAT. There will be no changing it, and no amount of whining will matter.

I know you appreciate how tenuous this can be...as the motorsports world is packed with events all year long. We don't want to step on a MotoGP weekend, for example, nor do we want to schedule it on the same weekend as the Fall Bash... See where I'm going with this?

A thousand thank you's, oh patient one.
