Thanks guys! I usually hang out in the top speed or lady's lair section.
Y'all talk too much for me to keep up on all the posts! lol

My goal was to get into the 200mph club. In order to do that you have to
set a new record at or above 200mph, not just run 200mph. The faired nitrous
class records are pretty high and have mostly been set with bikes that have
had motor work done and then nitrous on top. I'm still running the bone stock
unopenned engine with a wet shot. So with that in mind every single nitrous
unfaired record WAS below 200mph. The Forstall & Knecum & Deluca team showed
up to the same meet with the same idea as myself! The difference is they are
running all motor. Beefed up motor but still all motor. We were all running
in the altered unfaired fuel classes and bumped up all but one over 200mph. Unless
someone beats me to it I'm going to try to get that last one over 200mph at
the September meet.

I took a break during the June meet and let my hubby (NARider) run my bike
with the fairings on. He's got the chance to run at Bonneville in a month so
I wanted him to get a little seat time. He hadn't been over 200mph since 2003!

He rocked 4 runs over 200mph with a top of 207.5mph on the bike I built!
It was so awesome watching him run and have success as I did on the bike I
built! Â*

Deb

Does the lack of a fairing just add wind resistance or does it also make the bike a little shifty?

It definetly adds wind resistance. My bike is rock solid faired or unfaired.
Actually it's less influenced by cross wind without the fairing so at times
it feels more stable. It also slows more rapidly without the fairing which
also gives the feeling of more control. Personally the more I get blown
around with the fairings on in a cross wind the less stable it feels!!
This is all provided you can keep your head down and as far out of the wind
as possible. With me being a runt it's actually pretty easy!

This is awesome Deb congrats. I wish I had a track like that here in NY/PA area to run. Is anyone running the B-King in these types of comps yet?
