Any good scratch removers for windshields ect?

A friend accidentally scratched up his windshield trying to clean it. I thought I'd use the wisdom of the board to see if anybody had used anything that removes or reduces plastic scratches. Any feedback is greatly appreciated

Nissan dealer turned me onto 3M's line of platic restore and polish. Nissan has it in a TSB for hazed headlight covers. I have only used this so can't remark on the others. Works great.

I've used FLITZ on watch crystals and eye glasses with amazing results! It would take a while to do something as big as a windscreen, but if the scratches are localized you might get away with just polishing those out.

mothers billet with a T shirt and then wax it a few times with Meguires NXT..

Same as E-Racer Mothers did it for me. Great for that hazy stuff on headlights too.
