Take her on a long stop-n-go ride and she may not want to get on again...if that's you goal.

A wifey ride could be good in some ways. If she likes it a little she may not mind the extras as much. If she doesn't like it, you don't have to worry about the extra person when you wanna go out for a rid. If she loves it........forget about the extras for the bike, you may have to buy another bike. As far as hiding the extras.......BUSTED!

Ha, I got new used Marchesini's in route. I told her I won a raffle. Boy I sure hope they look as new as he said.
I did win a raffle, but it was for sprockets & chain. Perfect timing.

if you don't want to go riding with her again, start the ride going straight away from the house...keep going until she is tired and wants to go home...you then have to turn around and go all the way back home, by the time you get there (taking a few detours along the way) all she will remember is how exhausted she was when she got home and you won't be able to get her back on the bike ever

however, if you want to try to make life a little easier on yourself when it comes time to buy more mods, take her out on a little jaunt a few times so she feels like she has something invested in the bike also...just explain to her that sometimes the bike is a way to let the stresses of the day go and you like to ride alone at times...hopefully, she will understand and it will be one more thing you can share

warning, if you take the first choice, she will hate the bike, every penny you spend on it, and every minute you are gone...she will view the bike as her enemy and you will spend the rest of your life with her viewing it as competition

good luck (and learn how to slip those upgrades in without getting busted )

mods
I can't hide exhaust guys. Going from stock to R22's real easy to see. I did manage to hid it for a couple of weeks. She never see's the box or how much I've spent. Now that's a good thing

Ride
Well surprisingly enough it went well. We went to lunch before we got started. Hit my favorite road. Got it up to 90 and received my first jab in the chest. I think I was shifting to hard for her.

Managed to get it up to 120mph. Stopped at her brothers house for a rest. Ended up back at the house 5 hours later.

On a good note. Stopped by jame's real quick and she noticed his chrome rims. Now she wants to pick me up some rims

I think getting out the door and buying mods just got easier.

Guys take your women ride'n Just might pay off

what my wife says about mods"did you not ride home from the dealer, why do you have to change things, your never satisfied"now she sees how happy it makes me and don't say anything negative.she just ask if I like it.

I have 10K on my '06 and my wife has been on the back for about 8K of it. She's known around these parts for being fearless. I have the Corbin rear seat with the oval backrest and it has made life *much* easier on both of us. I told her if she ever sees me duck down behind the windscreen, she better do the same. I've had her up to 165mph so far. She never flinches.

Hopefully, the Ducati won't ride two people very well.

I had to bug my wife quite a few times to get her to go riding with me. After riding with me several times, she told me she wanted a bike of her own, so I bought her one to celebrate our anniversery. Buy your wife something nice that she really wants, and mods will be no problemo!

it's funny you should say that. I sold my last bike. That came up today. (wife) we should have kept that other bike. I could ride it

(me) I asked you. You said you didn't want it.

I'm glad we did it and she came away with a positive experience. I'll still continue to sneak mods. Kinda makes it fun :laugh

speaking of which. My HID's should be tomorrow
