I've decided to try and ride my Busa like an old lady just to see how far it will go on a tank of gas. Im shifting at 3500 rpm and keeping it under 80 mph on the hwy. My riding is 20% city 80% hwy and so far 190miles on the ODO and no reserve lite yet. Its very hard to ride like this and it wont last.:20:

I have a Cali bike and did 198 the other day, put 4.99xx gallons in it, how that? That was a combo of twisties, neutral downhill, and highway. I also did 212 on a highway run with a 4.94 refill.

The odd thing about the first one was the mog on the odo said 38 on the first and 45 on the second.

Man! You are way stronger than I am! That's some awesome will power there. Ican't do that for more than a few minutes
On a highway trip my BUSA MPG read 49.9 for a while around 80 mph [80 is really GPS 72ish i think]. I couldn't improve that by going any slower or faster or tucking any tighter. That's 6th gear and the best I've seen on it yet.

I get about 42 mpg on the hwy... i have hit 200 before seeing the light come on. The light is operated by the float in the tank. I've seen a thread on this before, if the float isnt set properly your light might not come on until you are really low on gas. I've heard of others coming on when they have alot of gas as well.

Just got back from a trip today on the Interstate and got 48.2 mpg . Best ever, but I think I must have had a tail wind because it's normally around 42 mpg

Seen 50 mpg once, it was 40 degrees and I was riding at 50 mph in 6th to cold to down shift (and did not care ) I don't know what the windchill factor was, I know it was COLD! But usually get around 41 - 43 mpg

Wind chill at 50 mph and 40 F would be 26 F * , but of course that's not including any wind your riding into -- It can really get Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
