Amsoil synthetic

Just hit 5500 miles, and purchased 4 quarts of Amsoil today.

Not that there is anything particular about changing oil, but does anyone have any pointers or things I should watch out for? Or even tips and tricks to help with the change?

It's always nice to know what little trick someone does before finding out the hard way afterward, even if it's something silly like oil.

PUT THE OIL DRAIN PLUG BACK IN B4 YOU PUT THE NEW OIL IN!!

p.s. I forgot the first time I did mine....I just didn't understand why I could put 3 quarts in and still not see anything in the window. well atleast I cleaned out the old oil in the case.

I also like to take the oil lines off from the oil cooler. I guess it doesn't need to be done, but I like to make sure all the old stuff is out. There are also little O-ring gaskets on the oil lines...or what-ever you call them...just don't forget about them if you take the lines off to drain.
