Talking

Got a call from a friend who was at the local 1/8th mile dragstrip today. I am usually there if it is open, but my bike is still having work done on it and I have more than enough stuff to get done with the new home...... Any, she tells me that MR. Brown's bike (Jeremy) went a 6.17 with someone else riding, then crashed at the end of the track. Supposedly the guy was pretty banged up, may have had a broken ankle.

No word other than that on the riderr or the bike.

I will check back shortly with more details......

PK, here is what I found out:

Our friend Matt, whou is about 6 feet tall and 135lbs was riding it and from what people that were there said, it looked like he locked the front up after the finish line and washed it out under him (Matt). It slid for about another 3-500 feet and Matt is pretty rashed up. One leg for sure, hands and knuckles. Went to the hospital with a suspect broken ankle, but was complaining his hip was hurting also.

Evidentially he wasn't feeling too bad, as he was concerned with how fast he went!

Here a a couple pics of J's bike.....

Sorry * *to see good equipment damaged, but that's racing ! As the old saying goes, "There are those who have and those who will" * . I really hope the rider is OK ! Hate to see or hear about either damaged or injured !

Bad News, there was a driver in the Homestead IRL that was killed today in practice * *
