I absolutely feel the same towards a plain Jane stock Busa. But like the 2006 zx14 it has alot of potential to be a sweet azz lQQkn bike.
Just wait til someone tricks it out !

Cans are too big just like on the ZZR1200. But if it's more than the ZZR, you better hope you can hang on!

I just cant get over the seat. I think i could look past the katana panels, but the seat, TO ME ANYWAYS, is awful. They better have one SWEET seat cowl/cover in store.

Not only the Seat and The Gills but the Head lights are a Butt ugly set up , The Dash is knida small , The Resivuors look cheaply done , the mirrors are UGLY WRONG and what is up with the front fender ?
The part of the fender that covers the forks .....Wrong .
I do howerver like the look of the tail light array . A good fender elimination kit and it will look hot.

AND..... The heel guard looks like I could have made a better pair with some metal shears and some sheet metal .

I don't like the look either (yet), but at least Kawasaki understands that there are a LOT of us that like solid paint jobs.

The 05 LE is HOT!!! the rest of the bikes paint schemes this year looked cheaply done . I'm not trying to offend anyone but you feel me don't you ?

Well... I don't see it as exactly ugly, but seriously boring! Plus the nose isn't very aero-dynamic, so I question the top end speeds. In any case, should make for interesting shoot-outs. And...

I see two gold-mines for the ZX-14 after-market guys:

1. Leather's with serious heat resistant lower leg guards. (The engineers must have gone way out of their way to design this bike to cook the drivers lower legs. Check out the black side fairings.)

2. Replacements for those cheap looking clutch and brake fluid containers on the bars! Jeeze! Hopefully these are pictures of the ZX-14 prototypes!?

Oh, and one other thing I noticed. I think the ZX-14 stole the seat off my wifes 2005 Kawi Z750S (which sucks and pushes the driver into the tank constantly). So after-market seat makers... take note!

But look on the bright side... Slap on some ape hangers and a set of suit-cases, and after-market ZX-14 owners will have the fastest, uglist sport-tourer out there!

It'll be truely laughable if the 1999 stock Busa's beat this animal!

The should have left out two of the four headlights!! Either the middle ones or the outside ones. The resevours and whatever that screen is looks cheezy. The side panels or gills look dumb also. The seat looks BLAHHHHH. The rear light looks like someone flashing a peace sign. I won't ding them for funky stock cans, everyone has funky stock cans, even the Busa.

I do like the end of the swingarm.

My 2 cents..........Many people are drawn to the beauty of the Busa, overlooking the performance. I don't see that happening with the 14.

Damn, I think I could write for a bike mag
