you can probably find it a bit cheaper thru somebody else..

    state farm for example..

but when I bought mine new in 01 it was about that much..

28yo, married, no tickets for comparison reasons..

do a search.. all kindsa insurance posts in the past.

at the moment i'm paying AIG about 830$ per year for the 'busa, and the sv650s

    100k/300k/25deduct.

I just changed to GMAC from Statefarm. I couldn't believe they were cheaper than Statefarm. $80 cheaper a year.

I pay $33 a month w/ USAA...I'm 33, no violations and have 4 others vehicles insured w/them. Yes, full coverage. USAA caters to military...not sure if just anyone can use them.

Devil dog i thought usaa didn't offer motorcycle insurance, or at least that is what they told me I have had my cars insured with them for years. So i went with State Farm for the busa, but damn i would like to get it all with one company for sure. Just curious, how long have you had a bike covered with them? Thanks

Progressive will rape you as soon as they hear Hayabusa. At least that is the case in Florida.

Insurance is done by zip code. A zip code that borders your zip can have a dramatically different rate. Progressive is the cheapest for me $620 followed by State Farm $1200 . USAA who brokers through I believe Progessive was $4000. 40 no tickets 2 bikes but in LA CA. LA is expensive for insurance.

When I started looking at buying the busa I had a Honda shadow and my wifes bike insured with progressive. When they quoted me $1600 a year I thought the busa was out of the question. I'm 55 with no tickets or accidents. State Farm quoted me $400 a year. That is with no other vehicles or property, however I will give them a shot at all of my insurance when the policys are up for renewal.

you had to have an existing MC insured with them to get it ... I have had all mine with them so I just got it added no issues/questions.

As I understand it now, if you didnt get in the grandfather clause, you gotta use someone else for MC's these days. I know they outsource their boating coverage as well.

And USAA, last I heard, is for NCO's and Officers (mighta been opened to all enlisted) active/retired/honorably discharged military folks and their direct family members.

Yea USAA is a great company, i have been with them for a long time and just assumed they would offer insurance on a motorcycle. I guess that has changed in the last year or so. So i went with State Farm after looking at several other companies. Allstate quoted $2150 every 6 mos, Progressive said $2500 for a year. So i went with State Farm for $375.00 every 6 mos. Which is still too much for a 34 year old married male IMHO. Oh well i guess if you want to play you have to pay
