This guy at work gave me his 88 ninja 750. It's been sitting around in his garage for 10 years. Here's a pic with some of the fairings off. I'm going to rebuild the carb, change plugs, fluids, and filters and if it runs, I'll paint it and sell the beast.

If I were mechanically inclined I'd try something like that, but since I'm not . . .

LMAO...that's a good one.

When I said "used", I didn't mean antique.

Nothin against your project there diesel...I've always had a soft spot for older bikes that are fixed up. That 750 looks like it could be a nice stablemate for the Busa when you're done.

very nice good luck with the project a kid in my home town picked one of them up last summer to bad he blew it up Let all his buddies ride it and they dropped it a few times lucky for him it wasn't the best thing to start with or well probly was great for a first bike since it was so ruff no hard feelings when it did fall

That's a nice find for the price.

I'd get it running and keep it as a spare "disposable bike" for stunt practice, friends to ride, etc.

Very cool. A friend of mine has an '86 Ninja 1K "Top Gun" bike. It's pretty nice, and no slouch either.

I like older bikes too. They kind of have thier own personality. Sort of like the Busa.

My boss bought one of those a few years back, but the motor was blown so he contacted some motor buildings out in Cali and he bought a badazz motor from them. He claims in it 200 hp, never seen it run but it definately sounds mean

I'm just going to have fun rebuilding it and then try to get a fast $1k . After that, I'll probably look for a busted up busa to fix. I'll keep that one.

My brother just recently gave one away to a guy. The 86 was big, but for its day - would move some ass!

Nice "early" sporty. And the price is right! Hey FJRider, I've got a '73 H2 750 trip. It's definitly a project bike. They were something in their day. Anyone who has been on a runaway 2stroke will never forget it.
PM me if you're interested.

Wish I had some room for more bikes I'd like to pick up a RG500 Gamma just for fun. Almost bought one as a first streetbike (glad I didn't since its not really ideal for long distance trips that I do).
