BuyBits Fork Stem Yoke Mount or RAM Motorcycle Fork Stem Base / Stem hole diameter

I've finally decided that I need to have a mount for my cell phone on the bike and both the RAM Motorcycle Fork Stem Base and BuyBits Fork Stem Yoke Mount seem like great products. I'm more interested in the Buybits mount because of its build material and would seem to be much more solid than the RAM's plastic build. The only problem is that the inner diameter of the Busa's stem hole is 13mm and Buybits lists their mount as a 13.3mm size. Has anyone purchased a Buybits mount and can confirm if this will work or not for the Busa?

I am also open to DIY mounts if anyone can provide a link for parts and instructions.

Thanks!

RAM Mount is a great product. Would suggest.

Isn't a cell phone the last thing you need to have mounted on your m/cycle dash?
For me, a radar detector is it.
A radar detector IS necessary.
A phone IS NOT!
If someone can come up with a valid reason for having a phone in your face EVEN as you ride, please, enlighten me!
Eyes should be on the road, no distractions.
I do not even have a phone mounted in my car as I drive, mind you, I never get calls either, just the odd text message, but my phone is always in the center consol.

Gee Pops, Radar detectors are illegal in Canada, do I really need one? Can I use the mount for my Garmin GPS, Dad?

Mom said it was OK....

LOL....

Is it legal to use a phone while driving in Canada? Coz it ain't here in NZ.
And it's banned for a good reason.... People crash, DIE and KILL other INNOCENT people due to the distraction of mobile device use!
So listen to your dear old Dad son, you may just live longer!

There is this app called WAZE. It is used like a Garmin for traveling with the added bonus of a button to push when you see a cop so if enough people use it you are warned about speed traps.:race:

Few more pics I have taken I still have to adjust once my bars are set in stone
The stem mount was EH. Like @kml said it doesn’t stay fixed so if like me you have OCD you might get distracted trying to center it while riding.

I have the same question. LOL

Don't care for the ram mount as it moves around on the rubber mount no matter how much I tighten it
cheers ken

Yup, same here. Did my head in as it would move around, no matter how tight I made it. It used to go slightly skewed while riding and annoyed me

Now I just need to figure how to mount this onto my Magnetic Base on the Bike! I just got the Escort M1 Dash Cam for Christmas and it jacks right into my Escort IX detector all on the same suction cup mount and power cable. I just don't want the suction cup mount on the bike.
