Question about Crankshafts

Just out of curiousity...

Is there anything that can be done with crankshafts if a rod was blown, or a bearing spun?

I have two lying around, and I'm not sure what to do with them

Thanks!

I would call Falicon, Marine or APE and get their opinion.
Anything can be saved but it may not be worth the cost. My $.02 worth

thanks! It wasnt an issue of saving, more like, offloading them. Even for crap money at this point. They're taking up space.

Sell them on psychobike but disclose that they are bad. People buy them to send off a scores for stroker cranks all the time

Psychobike? I'll have to sign up.

And ya, I wouldnt sell anything under false pretenses.. that's just bad Karma.

Thanks for the heads up.

If it is rod journal damage, they would be good stroker cores, provided the spline is not twisted and/or bent.

From what I can tell there is not warping, on either of them.

One does look "burnt", I'll just throw it up on psycho with photos, and people can let me know.

Do you have a crank eating engine...off them for scrap or whatever...send the pics to an engine shop....weld them together and make a mailbox post

No crank eating engine. but I do have this knack for getting great deals on busa's with blown engines.

I'll post up some pics up when I get home.
