What's your motorcycle geneology?

I always find it interesting as I read the posts from various members how our different cycle experiences have led us to the Busa.  Some come from a long line of different makes and models.  Some have even tried the Busa as a first bike.  Some leave the Harley or cruiser set, while others expanded on their V-twin roots for a little diversity.  I thought it would be very interesting to trace your cycle lineage back to the beginning and list all of the bikes you have actually owned prior to purchasing the Hayabusa.  Here's My list of primary rides and the order in which they appeared:

1. 1981 Yamaha Exciter 250 (sold)
2. 1982 Yamaha Virago 920 (totaled)
3. 1981 Yamaha Midnight Special 850 Triple (sold)
4. 1985 Yamaha V-Max 1200 (sold)
5. 2000 Honda Valkyrie Interstate 1500 (sold)
6. 2002 Kawasaki ZRX 1200R (current stablemate)
7. 2003 Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 (current obsession)

Stablemates have included a Suzuki Savage 600 (sold), Suzuki DR650 (sold), and a Kawasaki Ninja 250 (current stablemate)

For me, I went from motorcycle basics, to speed, to touring, to naked bike comfort and speed, and finally to the best of all worlds.

What's your story?

The Suzuki Samurai in the U.S. is a roll-over prone, poor excuse for a jeep. I think the engine is around 100cc's as well. View attachment 541299

Don't worry rob I got the bike in March and have put 11,000 miles on it since with no probs. I am amazed by it, love it, and believe me I can stretch its legs with no problems. I took to riding very well.
