Me and the wife are looking at getting a chatter box and i was thinking of the gmrs x1 slim so i can bluetooth my cell. Wasnt sure if its all hype and a cheaper model is just as good and if differant brands got differant channels ect..
Thoughts.. horror storys.. what do you use? Will mosty be used for rider to passenger but sometimes for group riding. I like the 5 mile range ( though in real world is prob more like 1 mile). Be using a full face helmet.

Myself and two friends use the chatter box GRMS x1 it what ever it is. We have had a few problems with them but not a lot. Over all I am happy with the set up. Though talking on the phone isnt really possible past 30 mph. Also it does have a lot of wind noise on the side it's mounted. If you aren't doing bike to bike I'm not sure I would suggest it, there are less expensive options for single bike rider to rider.
