ok guys. I am about to purchase an 02 hayabusa engine from a guy that broke both of his legs in the middle of his 02's total rebuild (he was on a friends bike). I have not yet had a chance to make it down to see the motor yet. he claims that it has been bored .001 and was built back to stock, and he had the wreck before he had a chance to purchase and install the cams. what am I looking at moneywise to get this motor running. if what he claims is true, and what should I go with? what should I look out for, and are there any busa specific questions I should be asking him?
is $800 a good deal on the engine, ecu, harness, and gauges. considering I got to drive 5 hours to get it and get it back together? I'm building a custom bike and am trying to get my shopping list together.
