Getting valves checked?

My hayabusa has about 36K miles on it and still seems to run like the day when I bought it brand new.

Is it worth it to get your valves checked if your bike runs good?

NOT A MECHANIC, probably not but sooner or later I would get it done at a shop I trust.

i was told they should be checked around 16K. and that when i mentioned not having the cash, he checked em for free while the motor was out of the bike because he felt it was important.... only charged me for the shims. ended up scrounging up enough money anyways, but in that situation, felt like he was honest about needing it done since he offered for no extra charge....


and even though the bike felt the same before it was done, was a noticeable difference after it was adjusted

i've been thinking the same too, i have almost 20k on her. how much does it usually run?

they should be checked around 16k regardless of preformance. ya its a pain to get to, but oh well.

Did mine at 16k, and she ran smoother for sure. I think I paid 300 with shims.
