...but here are some highlights of the ride. Tried out the new (to me) Corbin seat, very pleased with it. Great value for $150 used, plus preparing the bike for the new Pashnit Iron Butt Rally in Sept - 1000MileDay.com . And the Zero Gravity ST Screen works well too. Personally, it's too tall for me, I prefer the super-low SR screen from ZG. But riding through 3 hours of torrential rain at 4 am , proved its worth.
Other rather pleasing thing was my all new Galfer brakes!
Finally a chance to really rail on the twisties, of which Central Cal has miles and miles of. New Galfer Stainless Steel F/R/CL Brake lines (oh how I hated the stock rubber lines
) AND my all new custom F/R anodized/engraved Galfer Wave Brake Rotors coupled with Novice Race/Ceramic Galfer Brake Pads (G1375) - Wow! It wasn't till the 3rd straight day of riding twisties that I realized I'd only been using one finger to stop the bike all day. One finger for a loaded up 600 lb bike with 170 lb rider is simply awesome! Couldn't do that with the stock, and the brake fade with stock was terrible after the fluid got hot. Brand new bike! They could be improved even more, but I'd have to go to a Brembo Master Cylinder.
